I have practised in Family Law for 20 years. I attended Saddleworth School, Oldham Sixth Form College and the University of Huddersfield. I joined a practice in West Yorkshire and then moved to JMW leading City Centre firm where I qualified as a Legal Executive. I then went onto law school at the College of Law Chester where I studied part-time and continued working full-time. I graduated with a distinction and qualified as a Solicitor in 2007. I then moved to a high street firm in Stockport and then Wilmslow before joining Stowe Family Law - a national leading Family Law practice based at the Cheshire offices and then a boutique family law firm in Manchester City Centre. I joined O’Donnell Solicitors in July 2016 as Head of a new Family Department in an exciting move. The team has grown to 3 fee earners. I am an Accredited Specialist with Resolution, an organisation with 6,500 family lawyers and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. I am accredited in complex financial provision (on divorce or dissolution of civil partnerships) and cohabitation (the law in relation to unmarried couples). I handle hundreds of mid to high net worth divorce and matrimonial finance cases which are often complex and involve dealing with share valuations, trusts, pensions, and property abroad. I also have extensive experience in disputes involving unmarried parties. I represent clients (parents and grandparents) in disputes involving children including cases involving international child abduction. I also deal with asset protection through pre and post nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. My clients include professionals, celebrities, business owners, entrepreneurs and clients from all backgrounds both nationally and internationally, in particular Spain, Hong Kong, USA and Mauritius. I conduct family matters in an intelligent, constructive and non-confrontational way to assist clients in achieving a quick and affordable solution to their family problems. When necessary, I adopt a robust approach, whilst keeping clients aware of the financial and emotional costs of their dispute. My ultimate goal is to ensure that your family disputes are resolved for the long term future of you and your family and I will always provide clients with a practical solution. I am a family man but when I am not taking my children here, there and everywhere I enjoys going to the gym, running, and playing golf. I also spends time watching my favourite football team and listening to music. I am a Parent Governor at Micklehurst All Saints Primary School, Mossley.
