This ethos underpins everything Satnam and the wider teams that he manages do. He brought his values of representing the finically challenged and marginalised communities to the Firm. This has allowed QC Law to be one of the top Immigration and Litigation firms in Central London, and has been a model of excellence that we have replicated throughout all our departments. So, whatever your requirements are, whether it be private, international or business-related legal support, you will receive industry leading advice, a service centred around building trust, and a desire to provide an experience that will make you come back to us for future legal needs. Satnam's bio: Satnam is a commercial litigation, and professional negligence specialist by trade, with nearly 20 years’ experience in the legal sector. Satnam came from an East London working class Punjabi background. He has a passion for assisting the marginalised sections of society, giving them access to good, affordable litigation services. Satnam strives to provide legal services to financially struggling clients on CFA’s or partial CFA’s. Satnam started out his legal career as a Paralegal at Hamlins, and then Linklaters. He moved to Lyons Davidson and Colemans CTTS (now Simpson Millar) after he qualified. Satnam has been a specialist in professional negligence, & property litigation since 2005. His forte is negligence actions against conveyancing solicitors and surveyors. Some examples of his work are: damages arising out of a £500,000 under settlement of a derivative claim, a Lands Tribunal award to uphold a restrictive covenant against a property developer building multiple houses on a 1 house plot of land which maintained his clients amenity of the neighbourhood. Satnam saw a niche in the litigation market, he saw that ethnic and marginalised communities were not being offered access to legal services, including professional negligence and property litigation services on a CFA basis. He saw language was often a barrier and sought to offer advice in northern Indian languages. In 2013, Satnam opened a sole practitionership called SS Talwar with a view to take on professional negligence and property litigation from disadvantaged backgrounds on a CFA. Satnam understood the needs of the communities he works with, who are often working multiple jobs that fall outside the 9-5. He ensured his clients had access to his advice and guidance on 24-7 basis. He worked as a sole practitioner, which gave his clients one point of contact throughout their case. Satnam has also built out a strong commercial litigation portfolio. He became an expert in contract litigation, personal guarantee matters, and breach of director and fiduciary duties. He has excelled in the area of derivative claims. To date Satnam has secured over £1m worth of damage in multiple fast track and multi-track cases. His most notable cases are: a religious charity which successfully recovered £60,000 damages and costs for negligent commercial property advice, an ex-housing association employee who’s employment appeal was mishandled, Satnam recovered £20,000 damages against the firm, a £75,000 claim against a litigation solicitor for negligent handing of a possession matter. In property matters, Satnam, dealt with highly emotive family trust cases and forfeiture of a long lease matter. Satnam also acted for the defendant in the reported matter, Travelers Insurance Company Ltd and Another v Gauri Advani [2012] EWHC 623 (QB).
