Michael Johnson

Areas of work Michael has a breadth of experience in dealing with employment law and civil litigation/dispute resolution. Michael has acted for a range of clients throughout his career, including large commercial clients, individuals and a Trade Union, and has built a reputation for combining technical expertise with good client care. He is rated as “outstanding” by the Good Lawyer Guide. Career Michael qualified as a solicitor in 1996, joined Bendles in 2002 and became a partner in 2004. Michael is head of the firm’s Civil Litigation Department and jointly heads the Employment Department with David Kendrew. Personal Michael is married with two children. A national level chess player his youth, Michael now spends his spare time either in the Lake District with his young family, on the ski slopes in the winter or training for triathlons in the summer.
