Having worked in the mortgage industry since 2003, I bring a vast amount of knowledge and experience to my clients. My way of working is to offer a holistic approach, providing a service that goes beyond just procuring a mortgage. I not only deal with lenders, but also with estate agents and solicitors, to ensure my clients are getting the best possible service from everyone involved in their property purchase. I am also very keen to make sure that you are covered by the most appropriate protection for your loan. Each buyer is different and I will make sure that you are safely covered for your own particular circumstances. I started my career working for an estate agency in Coventry, then moved on to work for Halifax as a Personal Financial Adviser and completed my CeFA qualifications. But I missed mortgages and returned in 2010 working as a mortgage adviser for Barclays and also as a mortgage Quality Assessor for the bank. This added experience broadened my mortgage knowledge, particularly on understanding and working within the FCA guidelines. After taking a break to bring up my family I set up my business, Collar Mortgage Services, in early 2019 and I have not looked back. Since the pandemic, I have been able to conduct a lot of my business via video as an alternative option to telephone or face to face meetings. This has made it much easier for my clients and I to work through their purchase process together as quickly and simply as possible. I am also not tied to any particular lender which means I can look I can look across the mortgage market and find the right product for you. Recently, one of my clients, who I had helped to negotiate their offer for their first home, rang me up simply to tell me I was her ‘guardian angel’. If I can replicate this level of satisfaction in every client, I know that I have done my job well.
