Over the years since we've known him, it feels as though Scott has almost become a family member, and someone who you can talk to with perhaps money worries, and he'll point you in the right direction, and come up with a plan to help.

His advice has been clear and concise. I don't like long explanations, it confuses issues. More recently, several times, he has contacted me, to say the mortgage rate has changed for the better, and that he'd applied for that deal. For me, that's good client service.

He found us the best 5 year mortgage deal with the best rate possible and constantly reviewed it for us in the months leading up to our deal at the time ending to make sure it was the best for us. I think the rate dropped 3 or 4 times over the period of first conatcting Scott and finding a deal and the old deal coming to an end. Scott also reviewed our insurances and protection and sorted us out with some policies that gave us better cover.

We have been able to successfully remortgage for a lower monthly payment as well as lower the term by 2 years and fox the rate for the next 5 years.

There isn't anything we think could have been done better. We have managed to do all of the things that we wanted to do.

I was finding it difficult to find an afforadable mortgage as my circumstances were complicated.

Scott was brilliant from the beginning - he offered lots of advice and found me some good options for both my new residential mortgage and my buy-to-let mortgage on my other property. Also, when there was a mix-up with the mortgage lender the day before completion, he worked really hard to help get it resolved so I still managed to complete the following week.

Yes, I am now moved and settled into my new home and have my buy-to-let property all sorted and tenanted.

What could they have done better?

Nothing - communication was excellent, he's super knowledgable and he went out of his way to help when things went wrong through no fault of his.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We were looking to get the best impartial advice but didn't have time to search around ourselves. Scott took away all the hassle and just gave us the best advice. 5 years on and he has sorted our mortgage out again and saved us a fortune as rates were going up.
