We held an initial consultation over Microsoft Teams whereby Josh spoke with myself & my partner and explained the various factors involved in applying for and obtaining a mortgage. He asked the right questions and was quickly able to understand what our earning capabilities were and also advised the various thresholds in place when looking to understand what deposit to put down. By the end of the call we were 100% certain that we wanted to move forwards and I thought that was a great reflection in terms of how easy Josh made the overall process feel. Throughout the purchasing process we encountered a number issues with the seller and Josh was always on the other end of the line via WhatsApp/Email/Mobile and was able to advise the best course of action especially as we were first time buyers who were dealing with a difficult client. On one occasion, Josh even contacted the Estate agent on behalf of myself and my partner to try and diffuse a challenging situation whereby the seller wanted to put the property back on the market as she felt the sale was taking longer than she liked. I would highly recommend Josh to anyone, he knows exactly knows what he is talking about as it’s not just mortgages he can support you on, it’s everything across the whole house buying process.

We was looking into buying our first house.

Josh made a process for us, first time buyers, very easy and I would say enjoyable! All the process was explained to us in great details, communication from Josh was (and are, as we are in the remortgage road now) outstanding. He is very knowledgeable at what he does, which makes such a pleasure to work with him.

Yes, we got our dream house at the best rate available at the time!

What could they have done better?

Maybe more insistent to take a longer fixed period when interest rates was at their lowest. But this is by all means not his fault that we decided to go with 2 years fixed instead of his recommended 5 years at the time. We of course regretting on not going with his advice!

Both my wife and I are quite risk adverse and think things through in much detail before making any financial decisions, sometimes taking too much time. This is probably more about what us rather than Joshua could have done better as his timing was perfect and managed to close the deal just as Coronavirus was kicking off in the UK.
