As an Octopus Money Coach I see myself as a Money Buddy. Someone to help with one of the major points of stress and worry - namely money! Financial wellbeing is a key driver of feeling in control of your life and achieving your goals. That’s something I’d love to help others with. I have always had a keen interest in personal finance. From my early days growing up in Birmingham in the 80s I learnt that our attitude towards money can either help or hinder your life. The power of planning and taking action in personal finance is something I’ve focused on in my personal and professional life. Before Octopus my career spanned 30 years of working in the corporate world in senior leadership roles. I’ve also set my own property development business which I still have an interest in, even getting my office hands dirty from time to time. Away from work I spend a lot of time exercising and running. I help set up and manage a local running club. However, my major focus is my family and Chester the dog. With 3 teenage kids in the house Chester is the only one who now listens to me and I’m the only one who walks him!
