I love helping individuals and couples to develop financial knowledge, self-awareness and make bold, exciting plans for the future. I do this independently of product providers and do not provide regulated advice or manage money on behalf of clients. For some, this can be a stepping stone towards regulated financial advice. For others, it's all that's needed to carve out a path to financial independence or freedom. Either way, the big benefit is to gain a sense of financial wellbeing, which helps support the other areas of life that are so important. Across my 30+ years in financial services, I have spent time as a regulated adviser, supervisor and training consultant, reaching Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society. I now run my own financial coaching practice, which brings together a blend of money mentoring and behavioural coaching. This highly rewarding role brings financial planning to clients who may not want or require regulated advice, but want to be empowered to design their future. Outside of personal finance, you'll find me exploring the UK with my family in our VW campervan, paddle-boarding, walking the mountains of Scotland and playing the bagpipes or bass drum with the local pipe band.
