Please provide a brief comment about your experience with Rachael

Rachael is a rarity in my experience, hugely experienced, superb clear financial advice but unlike many her emotional intelligence and empathy shines through. Financial advice is not just about understanding cold hard numbers (at which she is excellent) but it’s about listening and understanding the person. I wanted someone who was human and i could relate to for my advice , i got that in bucket loads and shrewd , balanced, highly knowledgeable and top notch financial advice as well.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed expert advice on the complexity of the NHS Pension at a time when I am approaching retirement age. She was recommended to me by a work colleague.

How has Rachael Hall helped you?

She has allowed me to understand more about where my pension is and the options are open to me which has provided me with reassurance as well as opportunities to consider that I would not probably get elsewhere particularly in view of Rachael’s knowledge around the NHS pension scheme.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

This is still work in progress awaiting further information from NHS Pensions but I feel comfortable in being supported by someone who can advise me properly in light of her knowledge and experience.

What could they have done better?

There is nothing at this stage that I would need to feedback on. Some links to appropriate resources or opinion pieces may be useful if she felt would be beneficial to allow me to understand the NHS Pension scheme better

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Complexities due to annual allowance problems with NHS pension. Advice re separation from my wife.

How has Rachael Hall helped you?

She advised me on my pension and the McCloud ruling, and was able to give me some good financial advice related to managing my finances going forward from a separation from my wife.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, and Rachael was not at all pushy or hard-selling her financial service. She actually told me I didn’t need her at the moment and gave me enough free advice to sort my current problems out. I got in contact with her on this occasion as I had used her advice and service in the past for another pension issue. On that occasion I paid for and received excellent advice which saved me thousands of pounds.

What could they have done better?

Nothing. Honest and open and truly helpful.

Confusion over NHS pensions plus wanting to invest inheritance money

Developed a retirement plan after review of pensions Advised on suitable investment (Investment trust)
