I had retired and sold my house in London and purchased one in Somerset and wished to invest surplus funds from these transactions.

This was our first ever meeting with an IFA and was an initial free explanatory consultation at our request. Simon is very personable, open and easy to speak with and he clearly explained his and his companies function and the funds that our cash would be placed in. The funds performance and the markets they were currently using in were visually demonstrated very clearly to us. He gave us realistic expectations that our investment might achieve based on the level of risk we were happy with. He also gave us some useful advice on the investments we currently have pending our receipt of assets from a future house sale. An accurate summary of our meeting was emailed to us the next day after the meeting which was a useful reminder of what we had discussed. We were free to ask as many questions as we wanted throughout this initial meeting and Simon gave us very clear factual answers. Based on our experience from this initial meeting we have gained an understanding of how Simon as an IFA can make our cash work for us in the way we want it to. This initial meeting was exactly what we needed to give us the confidence to trust Simon and his company to deal with our funds in our best interest when we realise them.

Needed to transfer existing drawdown and private pension then consolidate both in a SIPP. My brother is an existing client of Simon' firm and was happy with the performance of his investments.
