I strongly believe that financial planning doesn't start with your money. My first job is to understand you, your aspirations, and what's keeping you awake at night, to figure out what you really need – because that’s what really matters. I also believe that that life is complicated enough and we don’t need to over-complicate your finances too. I keep things simple, explain the jargon, and make sure that you know exactly where you stand and feel fully in control. Above everything, I believe that honesty is key and independence is critical. My professional background means that my personal integrity means everything to me - your requirements will always come first, with no conflicts of interest. That’s why we work on a clear and transparent fixed-fee structure; because in my view, it’s a much more appropriate way to pay for financial planning advice. As a Chartered Accountant with a successful career of more than 20 years working in global "Big 4" professional services firms, I am fortunate enough to now be able to combine my professional experience with a lifelong passion for personal finance and a desire to make a direct difference to people's lives. I’m also a mum of two young daughters, so I completely understand the challenges of balancing a demanding career with family life, and the daily juggle that involves. I'm also a volunteer with the financial education charity RedStart, because improving financial education in the UK for children from a very young age is hugely important to me.
