The simplest way to describe what I do is: I help you live the life you want today, and the life you want tomorrow, without fear of ever running out of money, no matter what happens. Of all the things there are to worry about in life, and there's many, I like to make sure that money isn't one of them. A question I ask my clients is "If you didn't have to go to work, what would you spend your time doing?". Retirement from work should not mean retirement from life! As people approach retirement one of their main fears is "will I run out of money" and "do I have enough". This often leads to them being overly cautious with their money in retirement and not living as full a life as they could. Taking one holiday a year when they could be taking two or three. Or working for longer than they need to thinking they can't afford to stop. Too many people run out of time, before they run out of money. My role is to help you achieve all you want from your life before it’s too late. Helping you achieve and maintain the lifestyle you want without fear of ever running out of money – or dying with too much! No one wants to be the richest person in the graveyard. By producing a lifetime financial plan together, and reviewing it regularly, I can show you if you already have enough, or what more you need to do to get there. The majority of my clients have held an ongoing relationship with me for 10 - 20 years. The key to such long-term relationships, and many become friendships, is trust and understanding whilst delivering a very personal, yet professional, service. I have been a qualified financial adviser since 1998 and hold both the Certificate in Financial Planning and Diploma in Financial Planning. I have gained a wealth of experience over this time and specialise in retirement planning, at/in retirement advice, and investment advice. Initial and review meetings can be held via Zoom or the good old fashioned telephone (should you be camera shy!). Through our use of technology and our online client portal, we are able to offer an efficient, online, service to all of our clients. I am also happy to hold face to face meetings at your home or our office. I work closely with specialists in areas such as Wills & Power of Attorney's, Defined Benefit (Final Salary) Pension Schemes, Equity Release, and Employee Benefits, should your needs extend to these areas. On a personal note, I am a big sports fan and a season ticket holder at the football club I have supported since I was 5! Portugal is a country very close to my heart and one of my ambitions is to one day learn to speak fluent Portuguese.
