Patrick helped with my inherited investments that were complicated and a bit all over the place. He sat with us for a very long time and explained all in simplified terms for us to understand with no pressure to use his services. We felt informed and happy to trust his expertise.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes certainly we are very satisfied.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

A mixture of personal circumstances. Both me and my parents self-employed, with no previous borrowing/ mortgage history.

Patrick and Lucy, as well as the rest of the team, were highly committed and always available for any additional clarifications. It felt like an easy process although we appreciate that it wouldn't be the same if not for Patrick's extensive experience. Each step was managed with care and a professional approach. We also appreciated the speed that saved us both time and money. We'll definitely recommend Patrick to anyone looking for a quality adviser in the UK.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. It took less than expected and with a better interest rate than we got when trying to get a mortgage without an adviser.

What could they have done better?

We think it went beyond our expectations so nothing else to wish for.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had not reviewed my pensions and savings for many years. I was aware that I was probably losing money because I had not done so.

How has Patrick McClelland helped you?

He reviewed my pensions and savings, and showed me how to gain greater returns. He also advised about whether I should pool all my different pensions or keep them separate. He recommended an online 'wrap', including pension and ISA funds, which has (excepting the blip when the pandemic hit) performed at a far better rate than my pensions and investments would have done if I'd continued without his help. He was also happy to abide by my request to invest as far as possible in ethical funds; he warned me that I might not make as much money by doing so, but he did not pressure me to change my mind. He was also kind enough to take the time to advise me on something to do with my will, even though it didn't really fall within his remit, which was the behaviour of a friend rather than a paid professional adviser.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. Every time I check my 'wrap' online, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it's doing. I was particularly pleased to see that some money has been invested in Tesla and also in AstraZeneca because of the Covid vaccine it is producing. Ker-ching!

What could they have done better?

Patrick has been advising me for just over a year. At present, I can't pinpoint anything that I would ask him to change.
