Kathryn came in to the office to present two financial wellbeing sessions, Kathryn presented in a clear and understandable fashion. This was followed by a 1 to 1 session where again, Kathryn was patient and asked questions to understand the full picture before providing any advice. I would recommend Kathryn.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Needing a health check of our personal finances after being neglected for some time.

Kathryn has helped in making sure we have an understanding of our financial position now and retirement situation and what we can do to help grow. being very busy business owners we have not spent any time on personal aspects and Kathryn grasped understanding of this and guided us well.

I needed some advice about my pensions as I kept getting correspondence from my pensions companies asking how I wanted to proceed with them. I literally had no clue about what steps to take and in fact really found the whole subject boring but realised I couldn’t keep burying my head in the sand.

How has Kathryn Hargrave helped you?

She explained in simple terms what my options were and even made talking about pensions interesting!.She helped me have a better understanding about pensions and how to make informed decisions about how to move forward.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. I feel much more relaxed about my retirement in a few years.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

After we retired we felt the need to use an Independent Financial Adviser, to deal with and look after our savings and investments. Historically, my company used Coe & Midgely for accountancy services, and after they joined the Armstrong Watson group, it seemed to be a natural progression to use their financial advice services. At first we dealt with David Squire, and more recently Amanda Heys; and only started dealing with Kathryn when Amanda became ill.

How has Kathryn Hargrave helped you?

Kathryn is quite new to us and we have found her do be very thorough and diligent in her dealings with us and our financial affairs. She has been particularly helpful in regard to arrangements that we wanted to make for grandchildren.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

That is a work in progress, which will be completed shortly. We only signed the documents this week.

What could they have done better?

Nothing.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was uneducated in my Pension provision and needed to take control of my finances and move to a better structured arrangement, and also get the best advice on some investments.

How has Kathryn Hargrave helped you?

Kathryn was very thorough in explaining details to me in a way that I could understand, and when I needed pushing she was able to keep momentum up as sometimes other things can get in the way of dealing with such matters. We had regular meetings and I always felt that I was being given the best independent advice which was also personalised to my circumstances.
