Unfortunately, life is not a rehearsal, so you need to ask yourself the question... 'Are you using your money in a way that allows you to live your best life possible?' In my experience, the majority of people in the UK are not receiving proper financial planning. Most financial advisers will focus on the client's Investments only; this is just basic financial advice. While I understand it is important to get a return on your investments, I believe the most important part of my job is to make sure you maintain your lifestyle without fear of you running out of money in retirement. My personal belief is there are 3 aspects to my job, which brings a far more powerful approach to Financial Planning. Lifestyle Financial planner: This is about identifying where you are now, how you got to where you are now and where you want to be in the next 10, 20, 30 years time. It is essentially about identifying what you want to do with the time you have left on this earth. Financial Planner: This is where we identify all the resources which are available to you now and the resources you will accumulate in the future. I then use specialised computer software to help formulate a bespoke Financial plan to help deliver your specific aims and objectives. Financial Adviser (IFA): the last aspect of my job is the Financial Adviser role which is where I use financial products (if needed) to help achieve your aims and objectives. In my experience, the majority of people only get this one level of service from Financial Advisers and not the other two parts, which in my opinion is not proper Financial planning. So how do I help my clients…. • I help clients understand where they sit financially and where they are heading financially. • I give people Financial security and peace of mind. • I take care of people’s futures. • I help people live the life they want to live without fear of ever running out of money as long as we take action. Whether saving more, investing more or protecting your life from death and illness. • I can help clients take less risk with the money. If I can achieve a client’s goals by taking less risk then I will. • I enable people to have less guilt with financial decisions and encourage them to go out and enjoy their lives. • I give people Clarity, a clear direction of where they want to go. • I help simplify people's financial life by implementing a financial plan and creating a simplified investment solutions. • I help my clients have more time and more choices. It is essentially about maintaining your current lifestyle without fear of you ever running out of money.
