Chris's approach was professional , friendly, prompt and comprehensive from the outset. The advice has already been actioned with an extremely positive outcome and plans are in place for the longer term.

The service has been excellent. From the outset the professional approach focussed on a broader picture. My more immediate issue was quickly resolved , but not before being placed in context of my overall and long term plans. This insured no financial decision was taken in isolation. Contextualisation of my financial requirements, present and future , those of my family and dependents were thoroughly analysed and incorporated into an action plan. Chris's approach is thorough, comprehensive and he listens. Advice is clearly explained, costs are transparent and and all questions and issues are promptly dealt with. Equally impressive was the fact that when I posed questions outside of Chris's expertise, there was no waffle but immediately Chris was able to reference advice from somebody more expert in that field.

I found the treatment from Chris and the team at Bridgewater to be excellent and have no hesitation in recommending them highly.

I think the service is quite expensive for what it is, particularly as it is mandatory. I was able to afford it OK, but many people would not.

My husband and I wished to review our pension arrangements and make an early draw down of one of them. Mine was quite complex and substantial in nature. Christopher's expertise was required.

How has Christopher Wicks helped you?

Chris has known us for a long time but has been particularly helpful since I retired. He took time to collate data from us to fully understand our changed situation, assess our risk profiles and make recommendations. I didn't always follow his recommendations in detail but he was happy to go along with my instructions. He set out his charges clearly and we feel that the service he provides is good value and professional.

What could they have done better?

Chris has a methodical approach to investment with a specific portfolio of funds. It seems a bit 'formulaic' and perhaps a bit more flexibility, especially in choice of funds, would be an improvement.

Chris is very knowledgeable and always helps you to think things through without in any way pressuring you, or making judgements about you. I have always found him to be kind, likeable and funny but at the same time professional and he has helped me with sound financial advice for many years. A good guy to have around.

How has Christopher Wicks helped you?

Mr Wicks has been my financial adviser for many years. He always gives unbiased advice with the client as an individual at the centre of his practice. I like the way he first assesses what level of risk each client is happy to take and then chooses investments that are appropriate for that risk profile. Over the years, due to issues such as having children, my risk profile has changed and that has been reflected in my investments. I like the graphs he produces which show graphically what your financial situation will be as the years pass. It has made me feel much more secure that I will have a comfortable retirement. I would recommend Mr Wicks to anyone.

What could they have done better?

When things such as the Post Office flotation happens, perhaps he could flag it up to his clients so they are prompted to invest if they think it is appropriate

I have known Chris for 30 years and have always relied on his impartial and individually tailored financial advice. Chris manages investments for both my wife and I. The reason for this high recommendation is the time, care and attention that Chris spends to establish what our financial goals are. Chris is interested in the long term success of the investment strategy, while at the same time remaining aware of changing personal and economic circumstances. Risk profiles are soundly established and then regularly visited to assess if change in investment strategy is needed. Chris has advised and continues to advise on pension, investment strategies and current and future education costs. I am reasonably financially aware but rely on Chris for detailed explanations and for recommendations on options we had not considered. Correspondence and post meeting reports are clearly laid out, and replies to queries are always prompt and helpful, email or phone. Chris goes the extra mile and we cannot recommend him highly enough.

Honestly, we cant think of anything! We have been delighted with the service we have received.

Has endless patience in helping a risk averse person put the best possible financial plan in place. Does all of this without being patronising and with a strong sense of commitment. Has made me feel that I am special to his business when in reality I am a very small pebble in his pond.

Difficult this. Perhaps his coffee making could be improved.
