A friend recommended it to me on him taking early retirement for himself, stating that I would be suprised what I could do. I sought advise as I had several pensions over many years and wanted some guidance on how to bring them together, and my options at that stage as I was under 60, with no thoughts of early retirement. I got the advise and "parked the bus".

Age 60, I received an offer from work to take a settlement package. Having a plan in place made me realise that I was in a good position to take the offer and take an early retirement. This also assisted my wife in looking after her father during covid.

Absolutely, I feel that we are in a great position financially, which is why we can have 2 to 3 cruise holidays each year. My wife also feels secure in case anything should happen to me. I would say there will be a lot of people on better income and pension pots than myself, but sensible planning with back up from a good financial planner makes life a lot easier.

In February 2020 (just before Covid lockdown), my company made me an offer for early retirement. I already had the information from previous, which did require an update, and this made it easy for me to make the correct decision to accept the offer to go. Aimee made it clear how I could use my pension pot for drawdown, how I could carry out long term investment on some funds, and what my projections would be until my company pensions come to fruition.

Definately yes, very happy with how things have gone. The time off has also allowed me to help my wife more, and help her father until he passed away. So glad I had good advice and information easily to hand.
