What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

In the past I had not had very good experiences with regard to financial advisors and was reticent to go down this route again. However when I got in touch with my private pension providers for advice they directed me to a site for recommended, unbiased financial advisors. Hooking up with Tony was possibly one of my best decisions that I have made.

How has Tony Yip helped you?

I would strongly recommend Iron Wealth Management Ltd, and especially Tony Yip. He is the most incredible financial advisor that I have ever had dealings with. He possesses the smartest and quickest financial brain and has completely transformed our finances. As a result of his amazing advice I have been able to retire 4 years early (it could have been 6 years if I had met him sooner!!!) and my wife and I are now having a fantastic time. My wife and I are not typically very trusting people, especially where our finances are concerned, but we trust Tony implicitly and engage him for advice on everything financial before we do anything. If you are concerned about your finances, pension(s) etc you need to engage with this guy!

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. Absolutely. On Tony's advice we moved 3 private pension pots into a SIPP and have been taking a variable draw down until I fully retire in just over 2 years. Tony proactively advises, questions and debates with us as to the best way to take funds, and although we are taking a reasonable amount out of our SIPP the fund is reducing at a much slower rate than anticipated, in in spite what we are taking out. This is due to Tony's micromanagement of our SIPP investments that Tony has put in place. At this stage we are well ahead of where I believed we would be, so am delighted with what Tony has done for us.

What could they have done better?

In the case of Tony Yip my wife (who was not a fan of financial advisors) and myself would honestly struggle to think of anything else that Tony could have done better.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We had been customers of our Building Society who had been advising us for several years. We were dissatisfied with the performance of our investment which prompted us to seek a new financial advisor.

The results of the movement of our investments have proved to be very good. Tony has made a point of providing highly detailed information on existing and potentially new investments, without us ever feeling any pressure.

What could they have done better?

Because we were in many ways financially naive we have found the service we have received to be quite impressive. On this basis and the results to date I cannot think of any ways the service could be improved

He's been great. We don't have anything we can think of that he could do better.

I felt that my pensions were very inadequate and not knowing what to do about it.

Tony spent a lot of time listening to what we were looking for and then taking a detailed account of our current situation. He has been very patient and I have never felt pressured into making any decisions. I have been amazed at Tony's knowledge and his ability to see the whole picture yet to also to analyse the details too. He is very astute and knowledgeable financially. I would highly recommend him if you want an IFA who is very clever yet down to earth, professional yet relaxed and really pleasant to work with. He has helped us sort out our finances beyond all recognition and has come up with solutions we would never have thought of ourselves. We have financial peace of mind which is a wonderful thing for a good night’s sleep!

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

150% yes! I've always been sceptical about financial advice before, so was very cautious initially but Tony's advice has far exceeded all I hoped for. As a result of his advice, I am now on track financially; and I would definitely not have claimed compensation for a mis-sold pension without his expert examination of my situation, but I did and got over £45,000 in compensation which has gone straight into my new pension. That's just one example of many where he has helped us do things differently than we would have done without his advice.

What could they have done better?

Nothing particularly.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed somebody trustworthy to help me sort out my numerous pensions and help me to have the life I want.

Tony has helped us to totally understand where we were and how to get to where we wanted to be. He has superior knowledge in his field and came up with ideas that we had never considered. I can't recommend his work and integrity highly enough.

I know this will sound twee but Tony could have done nothing better. We are in such great shape and 10 years earlier than I thought we would be.
