Alan was very attentive and provided confidence when discussing my requirements and financial situation. He was very honest on points that I had a set idea on as to what I thought was a good option, Alan provided a more structured explanation, which I found refreshing. Alan contacted me the same day after an initial telephone call a couple of days later he visited me. Alan looked closley at all our financials, and asked us what our priorities were, and came up with good ideas that we did not realise were options for us. By consolidating our many and varied pensions into one pot, releasing some pension capital and using our savings (earning zero interest) we were able to pay off the mortgage and reduce our outgoings, with still enough to retire on when the time comes.

He gave me the best part of one hour of his time on a Bank Holiday afternoon and went above and beyond what would be considered to be a free initial consultation. Following the Loss of my wife . I took redundancy and early retirement to look after 2 teenage children.

Being sensitivity and empathetic to my situation Alan gave me advice and explantations on investments and savings in a way that I understood. There was no pressure for me to make a decision and all set up ,admin and transactions were smoothly done. Alan has always been available for my enquiries whether that be via a phone call , E mail or messaging via the True Potential app.

the need to take stock of a number of different pension schemes accumulated over my career, review of insurance and protection requirements and planning for retirement and inheritance planning and the need optimise savings and investments for tax purposes.

He listened and developed a full understanding of my situation as an individual and my family needs and aspirations. it was his ability to empathise that made his advice so valuable to me.

Yes this has been achieved and the approach he recommended has also been flexible enough to cope with a period of redundancy from work as I head towards retirement, so I am very satisfied. Indeed I would go as far to say it would have been difficult to go through this period without his advice.

I cannot think of anything at this stage, the critical thing was the empathy that came from understanding my position

Alan provided me with the relevant advice to allow me to tailor my pension for my family. He also advised me in other areas to enable me to provide for my family should anything adverse happen to me.
