Helen Richardson

Having worked in the financial services industry since 1994, I have spent the majority of my time providing private clients with long-term advice over a wide range of areas, such as retirement planning (pre and post retirement), investment and tax planning. I’ve passionately followed investment markets for many years – a hobby instilled in me by my father who would call me every Friday evening to ask “how are we doing this week!" During the early stages of my career I was responsible for investment selection, my remit being to find the best investment solutions from across the entire market for our company of advisers. Over the years many of my clients have been introduced by recommendation from existing clients and I feel very privileged to be doing something I love, with clients who share so much about their lives and goals with me. It is very personally rewarding to tell a client that they are on track, for example they can afford to retire or help to get their children on the property ladder without detriment to their own wealth. I work very closely as a team with my trusted colleague, Mark Roddison. Mark is desk based and this ensures continuity of service as I obviously spend much of my time with clients. I feel proud to work for one of the largest independent IFA practices in the UK, Ascot Lloyd is a company that places so much emphasis on giving back, we support many charities both locally and nationally. Our values are embedded in the business from the top down and clients really do feel this when dealing with us. When I’m not working you will either find me next to a football pitch with my husband and daughter supporting my son’s team or walking our dogs in the beautiful countryside. I also love running to blow off the cobwebs from being indoors most of the working week.
