Always an immediate reply even at weekend.. hahahah... and always a personal way of days gone by..

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

If you can bear with my explanation, I lost my husband in 2021. I went to a probate solicitor based in Liverpool. My probate solicitor actually said to me that "If I wanted his advice, he would not get a financial advisor, he would just put the money from my husbands estate into my current account and have done with it". I then took his advice. Then, for nearly two years I went about organising my house repairs and helped some family members out of debt, utilising the money I had in what I would consider the best for the long term. Then, once I had achieved what I thought was everything I could think of, only then did I seek a financial advisor to help with the organisation of the 'remaining funds'. I have been incredibly annoyed with myself for being so nieve with regards to taking, what was to become crystal clear as very bad advice from my probate solicitor, in my opinion, as when I first approached Martin Wilcocks, who was reccomended to me by a family member, I very quickly realised JUST how much money had been utilised badly, the difference between Martin Wilcocks taking the reins with the 'rest of the funds' was utterly shocking. If I had approached Martin in the first instance, then the sheer amount of profit, from his incredibly well designed way of investing could have been utilised, bit by bit, for all the jobs I had already had done on my properties, virtually without touching the capital that could have been invested if I hadn't taken the (what I would describe as )bad advice, in hindsight. I would urge anyone who is looking for a financial advisor, to seek out Martin Wilcocks first and foremost, not only to gain a fantastic return for their investment but also, that, Martin is a very kind 'human being' for want of a better way of putting it, in a situation where you will find it very difficult to trust most people, I hope that makes sense.

After losing my husband in 2021 I was rudderless, and it is impossible for me to overstate just how incredibly helpful Martin has been since I was introduced to him. The challenges I faced were immense with unresolved conflicts between my late husband's executors prolonging the entire process of having his estate transferred to me. Unfortunately, those issues had not been addressed effectively by the solicitor handling the process, leaving me in limbo for over two years during an already incredibly painful time. Martin worked tirelessly, often pitted against a brick wall of unresponsive solicitors and family members and his perseverance in getting results against all odds has been nothing short of remarkable. As I write this review, approaching Christmas 2024, I can honestly say that Martin has completely turned things around over the past year and I can’t believe how much better he has made this Christmas for me, thank you Martin. I am so fortunate to have you as my adviser. Throughout the entire ordeal, you were always just a call or email away and you dealt with me kindly and patiently whilst I was fragile. The investment platform I now use is also incredibly easy to navigate (and I am terrible with technology!), which has been a huge relief too. I would highly recommend Martin and his team, including his sister and assistant Mary. Together, they are the best financial advisors anyone could wish for. Martin’s book is also an excellent resource for understanding his motivation and approach and tells you everything you need to know about him.
