Came in to a lump sum of money and wanted to ensure it was invested wisely - I don’t have a lot of time to do the analysis to determine where to invest my money and ensure that it’s efficient for when I retire - Tim took that responsibility on for me

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

First approached Tim for advice when he worked for another organisation which was local to us but they were subsequently sold to a larger London based company and we were not happy with the service provided. Tim then approached us with the offer of working with him with Westminster Wealth and appears to offer a much more personalised service.

He has helped with transferring our investments and pensions to a new platform

It is probably too early in the process to judge but so far we are happy with the outcome

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Initially Tim was our advisor at another organisation whom we approached to seek financial advice regarding my husband's forthcoming retirement. Through no fault of Tim's we were transferred by that organisation to a 3rd party. Recently Tim approached us to re-establish a relationship and we were happy to initiate discussions.

How has Tim Webb helped you?

Initially he guided us through the time-consuming process of identifying our incomes, expenditures and future goals and provided advice on pension options. Recently he has taken a pragmatic approach to repeating this exercise and has offered us a cost effective way of returning to him as our advisor.

It is too early to say but we feel more confident that our finances are now being managed by someone we know whom we believe takes a more personal interest in us.

What could they have done better?

There have been a few minor issues regarding access and input to the computerised investment platform but Tim has managed to resolve them eventually.

Certainly having a trustworthy point of contact is much needed outcome. Financial targets have been modified recently and I feel sure new requirements will be forthcoming.

Yes, the advice and guidance has been really helpful, particularly as I am not necessarily financially savvy. I do recognize, however, that this is becoming slightly easier, thanks to the advice.

What could they have done better?

I think all has been most helpful and I don't think there has been any need to view it has being better. I am grateful for all the help (and patience in assisting me along the way.)

I had recently inherited money from my parents, and wanted advice on the best way to invest it. I also wanted to protect the money, as best I could, for my children to inherit in the future.

This money has only, very recently, been invested, so I have not seen any return, yet. I have been very happy with the advice, but only time will tell how good the advice is, which is the reason I have only given a rating of 4 stars.

My wife and I were at the stage where we wanted an overview of our financial standing and what we can expect in retirement. So much information we didn’t have a clue where to start

Tim and his team carried out a full analysis, interviewed us to understand our plans. From that he worked out what was possible in terms of retirement age,expected income etc.

Tim understood what we wanted and made the plan accordingly. Expected outcome is what we wanted.

Nothing. All the conversations and plans have been perfect for us.

Dealing with the pension transfers I was considering and financial planning generally. He was also very helpful in providing tailored advice when I was offered redundancy by my then employer in November 2018.

I really can't think of any way the service Tim provided could have been improved. For example, when I was offered redundancy I needed advice very quickly and Tim met the short turnaround time.

Needed a better place for our savings

He showed us all the benefits of investing our capital to maxiimise tax breaks and building our portfolios for our futures.

Yes , although Covid has caused problems for all of us.

What could they have done better?

Not sure, nobody has a cryslal ball.

Our current Fund investments were not performing at all. Previous growth had been satisfactory but they had totally stalled over the last couple of years. We also had funds in a Building Society which were doing nothing in terms of growth.

How has Tim Webb helped you?

Tim was really good. He understood where we were coming from as we were quite nervous due to being badly bitten in the Dot.com era. He gave us plenty of information to back up his recommendations and we were confident to go with them. He was always quick to respond to questions we had, and I think took the view that there is no such thing as a stupid question!

It's very early days at the moment but so far, so good. In fact surprisingly good. We know there could be dips but its a strong start.

What could they have done better?

I don't think anything.

Following a change in career, it was time for a review of my portfolio.

Tim thoroughly explained the options available to my wife and I in clear and easy to understand language and examples-no jargon, no ‘hard sell’ . We’ve now put in place a range on investments that will (hopefully) help us reach our investment goals.

Obviously, this is a work in progress, but we’re confident Tim’s advice and the regular reviews we’ve set up will help us achieve our target income.
