What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Its the time of life to start the detailed planning, to ensure my inheritance is managed in the most tax efficient manner, to ensure my retirement is manged in the most tax efficient manner and that future earnings are managed in the most efficient manner.

I am fairly financially astute however I am clearly lacking in skills! Steven has advised with passion and patience, responding to my many questions with clear, concise answers in non financial speak!

We contacted Steven to request a review of our various pensions as we are approaching retirement age. Steven responded to our request promptly and arranged a home visit within 24 hours, As our pensions are almost all occupational defined benefit pensions Steven knew before his visit there was likely nothing for him to be gained by his visit. Still he came and offered invaluable advise and guidance. We would have no hesitation in recommending Steven.

Steven was very knowledgeable, and gave me very clear advice, it was nice for a change to speak to someone who knew his business.

Due to personal circumstances I was not able to go ahead with taking advice from Steven, but he had contacted me promptly with a full description of the approach he would take and was understanding when I let him know that I couldn't take up his offer.
