What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We first looked for a financial advisor as thought it was about time we had a private pension , as ben came highly recommended from colleagues and friends we booked a meeting

So we had our first meeting with Ben, who explained a few different options that would work for us, gave us a choice to choice, never pushed us into choosing a particular company, neither was we rushed into a decision

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, we are seeing a nice return on our pension pot. The lockdown wasn't great for a stock and shares pension, but it has grown very well since, we have annual reviews with Ben

What could they have done better?

I can't think of what Ben could fo better, I mean he makes our appointments in the evenings so no work time missed, he always comes to us only a phone call/ email away if uou need help .

We needed some advice around moving Pensions and making the most from our money.

We now feel more confident that our money is invested to ensure we have a better return than previously.

Ben gave a personal service, and communicated every step to ensure we had no concerns.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We had a lump sum to invest following the sale of a business and wanted to setup an ongoing investment plan to support retirement plans, with the flexibility to withdraw before pensionable age should it prove necessary. Also wanted to understand and, if possible, improve the performance of existing personal pensions.

How has Ben Taylor helped you?

Ben helped us to understand how we could mix stocks and shares ISAs with pensions to balance tax efficiency and flexibility. He was able to advise on funds that met our sustainable criteria, with improved performance and reduced fees via existing investments. He listened to our requirements and produced a multi-year investment plan based around an open and transparent trading platform, consolidating existing pensions where appropriate.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. We continue to work with Ben to implement and review our plans, both periodically and in response to changing circumstances.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Having found myself in a position where I needed to consider my retirement finances sooner than originally anticipated, I conducted my own research, bolstering this with the freely available government pension advice service. However, with so many options available, I concluded I needed expert financial advice and all-important experience which I lacked.

I had contacted several IFA's, in search of a flexible service to augment my own thinking. Absolutely! - After just a few months, the plan, which comprised multiple stages has been agreed and implemented and the process has been faultless. My husband originally needed an advisor as he retires this year. We were so impressed with Ben’s advice that I asked him to look at my pension.
