Helped me with long-term planning and drawdown needs for myself and my wife by the use of the Voyant tool for projecting income and expense flows under various scenarios. Coached me through the rationale for my pension tax liabilities at age 75. Introduced me to VCT investment and provided me with screened suggestions, but not recommendations, for investment. Alerted me to sustainable and ESG investment offerings from SJP investment management.

Chris is always available for any questions I have.My pension has now been invested for 2 years,the results in difficult circumstances have extremely good.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted to consolidate various pensions and receive some advice on how best to look after my retirement.

I will when I retire!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was ten years away from my planned retirement and needed advice on whether my existing savings/pension plans would be sufficient to cover my expectations. In addition I was also looking to increase my contributions to enhance my retirement fund and needed guidance in further investment and future planning.

How has Chris Berger helped you?

A series of meetings took place to establish how we could enhance my current investments and what was needed to enter retirement affording a comfortable lifestyle. Chris was then able to create an individual plan which suited my requirements taking care of my wish to increase retirement saving and the direction to take once my working days had finished. Over the years I have been introduced to a broad spectrum of schemes covering investments, pensions, life insurance and inheritance planning. Despite coming from a financial background many of the proposed options were new to me. However any concerns I may have had through lack of understanding have been elevated by Chris’s ability to explain complex workings in a clear and concise manner. I have been particularly grateful to his enormous levels of patience.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Now in the 2nd decade of my retirement I am delighted to report that I find myself in a very favourable position. Thanks to Chris’s guidance and astute forward planning my pension annuities and diversified investments allow me a generous lifestyle together with a worry free outlook. It is also wonderful to have the assurance of knowing that my family are amply protected and their future fully secured.

What could they have done better?

From a personal view I have found his advice and professionalism faultless. It is therefore difficult for me to make a valid contribution.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

When I first met Chris I had recently become a homeowner so decided that it was time to start planning my finances for the future.

How has Chris Berger helped you?

Chris helped me to arrange the following: - Putting a Will in place - Taking out insurance policies to cover my mortgage and provide for my son in the event of my death - Later, when I became self-employed, Chris helped me secure critical income cover and start a pension plan.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, so far. I have never needed to claim on any of the insurance policies but, as it stands, I am on course to retire when planned.

What could they have done better?

Nothing really, I am very happy with the services that I receive from Chris. I have recommended him to friends and colleagues and would be happy to do so again.
