Stef inherited us when our previous advisor Adrian Smith moved from being an Independent Advisor to become part to Close Bros. and then retired

Stef made an exemplary effort to get to know us and our aims when Adrian handed our investment advice to her

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

As this happened in the last 15 months or so and we have already had three months of the Covid Pandemic to deal with it would be impossible to make a valid judgement that someone else may want to use to influence themselves. However, on a personal level Stef has impressed us with her knowledge and financial experience and we are expecting to have a long and fruitful association with her.

What could they have done better?

We are perfectly satisfied to date

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I needed to invest my savings following retirement and did not want to do this entirely on my own so I sort financial advice

Stef re-assessed my attitude to risk and altered my potfolio of investments accordingly. She also informed me of my liability to inheritance tax which I have used to start distributing some of my wealth to mitigate some of this liability.

I'm sorry but at the moment I cannot think of anything.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

On retirement in 1997 my Company set up a series of Seminars with leading Financial Advisors. I chose to go with Nelson Money Managers who subsequently became part of Close Brothers. Stef replaced a former Close Advisor. We had known Stef before she joined Close when she was a successful Advisor in a leading High Street Bank.

How has Stef Goodwin helped you?

Having first of all ensuring she understood our expectations from our Close investment portfolio and our lifestyle she then very professionally restructured our portfolio.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

We are very satisfied with the outcome from both the capital growth and dividend return being realised.

What could they have done better?

With no complex issues or difficult decisions to discuss we find this an "unanswerable" question.
