What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Over 20 years ago I realised I needed to sort out my financial affairs and get professional advice. Back then, a friend recommended a small ethical investment firm, but after several merges that firm became very large and impersonal. Haydon had previously 'jumped ship' from that firm, and I was ready to consider other options.

How has Haydon Waldek helped you?

Haydon was able to offer sound advice when I was made redundant, with issues such as my pension including making tax savings via a private pension. He has also managed my ISAs and general investment account. He is very approachable, and easy to contact for one-off queries. He's great at explaining complex issues and no question is too stupid.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

So far so good. I appreciate the in-person annual reviews, and Haydon always seems to remember my situation and background. I trust his judgement and understand that I need to be patient with investments.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

We decided to switch from the large firm of investment advisors, which although ethical - which is what we wanted - had bureaucratic procedures and made us feel like small fry (even if we are). We switched to Haydon as he had previously work for the large firm and we knew and trusted him.

Moving our investments over and more recently with investing and gifting the proceeds of the sale of our holiday flat.
