We inherited a significant (to us) sum of money and needed to ensure we were putting it to best use for both ourselves and our young children.

Jon helped us to determine how best to split the money between cash deposits, investments and repayment of debt in the way that best suits our current and expected circumstances and was careful to ensure that we were completely comfortable with our decisions. Jonathon initially explained and helped me to understand my husbands pensions ( as there were 5 and all inferential ) He contacted all the companies for me initiating my access to the pensions . He guided and assisted me in completing the forms to access the pensions . He Re contacted the companies whenever any issues arose regarding accessing the pensions . So that he could relieve the stress from me He provided some assistance with the probate process accessing the forms and guiding me to the appropriate areas where I could obtain the information I required . He assessed my financial requirements and has now invested my income and pensions I received from my husbands estate . I feel that my money has been well invested to cater for my needs and that Jonathon has given me excellent support in sorting my finances out . He has taken so much pressure from and without his support I would have still been floundering trying to deal with my husbands estate .

The pension world is unnavigable to me without one

It is clear to me, from all my dealings with him, that he understand exactly what he is doing, is deeply interested in it and is personally invested in doing his best for me. The main thing he does to help me is give me peace of mind that my pension is as well-invested as it could be, under his oversight.

Jon has been my advisor for several years. He was relatively inexperienced at the start and made some mis-steps, but I have seen him reflect on those and learn from them which, as a professional advisor myself (I am a solicitor), is the main thing you can hope for.

Wanted to get all my insurances sorted out by a qualified IFA as the amount of products and terms and conditions is confusing. I was mainly looking for income protection and life cover but wanted to make sure I didn’t overlap the cover or miss anything.

Jonathan advised me on various different insurance products and helped me to work out what levels of cover I needed both personally and via my limited company. He has good knowledge of the terms of cover and which health problems are covered in depth by each insurer.

I had had some fairly awful advise from a financial adviser regarding pensions and insurance cover in the past and I wanted to rectify this issue by taking my time over finding a replacement.

Jon is very honest and not at all pushy which is what I like. However if you want a salesman FA that sells you the earth but produces thin air then Jon is not your mane (it hurts me to say it but trust me I have had that FA before and I wont be making that mistake again)

We were looking for some life and critical illness insurance for our company and also a general overview of our personal finances (mortgage, pensions, investments).
