About me: As founder, director and principal adviser of Philip James Financial Services, I have some 35 years’ experience in financial services and became an adviser in 1992. With a degree in Law and Sociology from Exeter University, I have completed the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Advanced Financial Planning qualification and am a member by Diploma of the Personal Finance Society. And about my company: I established Philip James Financial Services (James is my middle name) in 2000. We have have been directly authorised with the Financial Conduct Authority since 2011, which means we’re completely independent and not part of a network or tied to any other big company. We offer straightforward investment, pensions, mortgage and protection advice. We provide a very personal service, supported by award-winning, leading-edge technology. We now have some £150m under advice and look after more than 1200 clients. We are proud to be members of the the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association.
