Thomas de Burgh Williams

I am the founder of Purple Fox Financial Planning. With nearly 25 years of experience in the finance industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role as a Financial Planner. I began my career in a technical paraplanning role, which provided me with a solid foundation in financial analysis and planning. In 2005, I transitioned to a Financial Planner position, and by 2008, I had earned Chartered status, one of the highest recognitions in the financial planning profession. My commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in the field is further demonstrated by my status as a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society. Throughout my career, I have worked with some of the leading wealth management firms in the UK. However, I found that these environments often prioritised acquiring new clients and maintaining profit margins over delivering a truly client-focused experience. The actual planning work was frequently handled by colleagues who were removed from the client’s situation, which conflicted with my vision of a personalised, high-quality service. Motivated by a desire to provide an independent, service-oriented approach, I founded Purple Fox Financial Planning. I am dedicated to ensuring that all my client's relationship is directly with myself. This model allows me to focus on providing exceptional care, supporting clients throughout the year as they make important financial decisions, not just during annual reviews. My primary goal is to build long-lasting relationships based on trust, proactively helping clients meet their financial goals and aspirations. I am committed to offering a comprehensive financial planning service that caters to the needs of all family members, ensuring that clients receive personalised and attentive service at every stage of their financial journey. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife Anja, our daughter Amber, and my two beloved dogs, Pebbles and Peaches. I am a keen golfer and longstanding member of Henbury Golf Club in Bristol. I am also an occasional cyclist and a passionate supporter of local sports, regularly attending local football and rugby games.
