Ben provide initial advice on accrued pension fund and savings with a view to obtaining a percentage return on the available monies. Ben then organised these investment monies into various income funds through HL.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, good income returns on investments.... Ben provided sound advice in a relaxed and meaningful way, in that nothing appeared to be too much trouble. He is also pro-active in trying to help, and also responds to requests and telephone messages in a prompt and timely manner

The funds look sound and in the short term have shown some modest gains. No income has been generated thus far but that is to be expected.

Not a great deal. We are very happy with the way in which matters were conducted

I have been a DIY investor up to now using the HL Vantage platform , but with the increasing volatility affecting stock markets , and being close to 60 , I decided my wife and I should obtain some professsional guidance on how we should invest our ISA savings

Ben explained the fundamental principles behind the investment strategy he recommended for me and my wife , after we had explained our circumstances and aims . We can see that these principles make sense for us , and he has set us on our way with a suggested portfolio of funds and bonds which we will invest in with regular payments over the next 12 months .

Yes . We are confident that we have an investment strategy for the next 12 months that is sound ,and which we understand . We will review the strategy after 12 months .

I do not think there is anything Ben could have done better . Our requirements were admittedly fairly standard and conservative , but we found Ben patient , and methodical . We never felt pressured , and felt very comfortable dealing with him .

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Wish to mitigate inheritance tax liability but yet to comply with the law.

Several meetings leading to a detailed counselling and an advisory booklet.

The approach was very relaxed and took time,perhaps a slightly more speedy approach would not have frightened me off!
