Having consolidated my various pensions I required sound advice on how the portfolio is performing and how I may plan ahead.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

As I was approaching retirement I realised I could do with advice to make the most efficient use of tax choices and for pension consolidation while planning for future financial returns. I searched online and Flying Colours was one of a few advisors that replied. I researched the responses and chose them from my short list.

How has Craig Ridge helped you?

Craig has been very approachable, friendly and responsive to our questions and needs. Supplying us with a number of options while taking us clearly through risk profiles, helping us settle on the ones best suited to our current situation. As this is our first time using a financial advisor we have nothing with which to compare the service with. Consequently I have rated 4/5 stars in a couple of areas, although I'm extremely happy with the service received. As we become more familiar with the service and profiles I feel confident this will rise to 5/5 in future

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

In my view it is still early days as financial planning is an ongoing task that should be kept in regular review to maximise the returns. That said I have been very satisfied with the returns I've seen so far and the advice I've been given since we opened our account a little over 6 months ago. Currently the outcomes are above my initial expectations.

What could they have done better?

Not having used a financial previously I have nothing to compare Craig and Flying Colours against, that said I don't think there is anything I can point to that could have been better. Any delays we experienced were due to 3rd parties being slow to respond. Craig and the team were often able to push through requests for us in short time frames, giving us the returns we are now experiencing.
