Gareth has guided me skillfully over the years and I am glad to be able to rely on his expertise and personal approach. I particularly appreciate the fact that he takes the trouble to understand who I am; my ethos, my situation, the importance of my family and my attitude to risk. The combination of his professional knowledge and his empathy have achieved the perfect result for me. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Gareth; I am a minor client in economic terms, but always feel valued. He takes time to explain and to investigate alternatives; I always look forward to our meetings as I know I will feel reassured, and confident in the decisions he helps me to make.

Gareth makes financial advice understandable and always contextualises it around real life. The forecasting model behind his working method is extremely comprehensive and once set up can look at multiple scenarios in a few minutes. Unlike with previous advisers, I have no need to fill in a cumbersome paper form every year or so to keep the data reliable.

What could they have done better?

It would be good to receive a note when I receive annual updates from the Pension and ISA provider Ascentric, offering a commentary on what has happened over that period. We do have an update meeting but I am not aware of it tying in with these reports.

Before my husband passed away three years ago he had said to me that Gareth would help with our finance - he trusted Gareth - he knew he would look after me without hesitation - which he did. Gareth has helped me so much - by asking me, explaining and advising me on what I should do financially - with humour and understanding - and sometimes with a quiet moment to think about my late husband. I have been very lucky to have had the help of Gareth - he would never let me down
