Anything financial - especially pensions - and I make like an ostrich and I bury my head in the sand. It's like I am reading a foreign language and it all becomes overwhelming. I was introduced to Sarah through a friend and it felt like a breath of fresh air breezed through the room, all the words on the paper which were spinning around like a wizards spell settled and made sense. Sarah was extremely professional, personable and definitely 'user friendly'. I didn't leave feeling like I was of limited intelligence as I have been left in the past but I actually felt like I had learned something. Sarah broke everything down and explained in a way which left me feeling empowered. For those who like myself avoid such matters like the plague and for those who have a knowledge and understanding, I couldn't recommend anyone better to support you through your financial journey. A real pleasure.

coming up to a ripe old age of 60 I was not sure what to do with my private pensions SERPS and previous job pensions, Sarah was very helpful and tried her best to explain in simple terms as I had no idea what to do.

I was retiring with several personal pensions and wanted advice on whether to look at annuities or drawdown and reduce my tax liability.

She suggested not committing to an annuity at this point, amalgamated all pensions into one, changed the investments to match our risk profile, set up a stocks and shares ISA for us, and advised on the usefulness of Premium Bonds as an untaxed source of income. What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had money that was not being put to use in the most effective way, and as the result of the sale of a business, I had paid a significant amount of tax. I also had a number of different pension pots, that again weren't being put to use in the most effective way. I required a financial adviser who was able to make sense of this complex landscape, and make recommendations that would help me maximise my assets and plan for the future.

Sarah was able to quickly make sense of my financial situation and present options that were very astute, and extremely beneficial for me and my finances. As well, as being incredibly knowledgable about investment options, and tax and pension matters, Sarah had a very personable manner. Sarah consistently operated with the upmost integrity, and I had complete trust in her abilities and advice.

Yes, as a result of Sarah's detailed and comprehensive assessment of my requirements I was able to make a decision around investment funds that were appropriate to my needs in the short, medium and long term. Sarah was also able to make recommendations to help maximise the efficiency of my tax and pension situations. Through helping me to understand what was possible around pension tax relief, I was able to effectively recoup £18,000 and consolidate all of my pension policies into one single high performing policy. The outcome that Sarah was able to help me achieve was far beyond even my best expectations.

I required the services of a financial adviser, as I needed to make decisions regarding a pension plan that was coming up to its maturity date but also wanted help with retirement planning more generally. In addition, I wanted to take stock of my finances and discuss options for saving and investing in a tax efficient way.

I have been thinking of having a financial advisor for some time before I met Sarah. I wanted to invest but did not know where to look or how to proceed. My workplace informed us of a change that they are implementing into our pension scheme. They invited Sarah to speak to us (those interested) about the pension and review our pension plans.

Sarah started explaining to me about how I can consolidate my pension schemes into one place. She explained that this decision would be more of a benefit to me in the long run. I have just started my investment journey, and therefore, I will not be able to provide an answer as of yet. However, I would say I can tell that I will be getting the outcome that I hope for.

I think financial talks, especially when it comes to investment, can be very complicated, and with jargon words can make it very difficult to follow or understand. I think using visual aids and simple words will make it engaging and easy to follow.
