I was with Zurich for many years and I never received any updates from them. When I finally called to find out about my pension, they told me they would get in touch in due course as I was put through the wrong department. Kiran Sidhu called me not long after that.

I originally had bad advice from Allied Dunbar to take a personal pension instead of a local authority work scheme that was available to me at the time, I froze that fund and various companies took on the account. Eventually it ended up with Penny Group & that's how I came to hear from Kiran. I think that's how it happened!

So far, yes things are moving in the right direction but the real test will be when I reach retirement and when I can pay off my mortage etc.

Kiran is clearly very strong in her field of expertise, sometimes the terminology can go over my head and I have to ask to go over things again. I am a very visual learning sort of person and I find when Kiran shares graphs or diagrams etc I understand more easily. Looking at a page of numbers isn't ideal for me if I don't understand how to read it. It's not a criticism at all but I guess offering options for different types of customer learning types would/could work well.

I had paid absolutely no attention to my pension funds and had no understanding of the various options available.

By recognizing previous investments and risks, understanding my lack of knowledge and coming up with a pension plan that I easily understood with Kiran’s help and am delighted with.

We had a financial adviser in the past but for a few years had just been ticking along with our finances, without being proactive about how or where our savings or pension were invested. We decided we wanted to take a more proactive approach.

My husband unfortunately had a stroke which meant I had to retire at the age of 62. Although I was receiving some small pensions from previous employers it was not sufficient enough to live on. I therefore invested a substantial sum of money with the help of Kiran to enable me to draw a monthly payment.
