I needed precise advice about the creation of a SIPP by amalgamating a number of private pensions in addition to issues arising out of an historical annuity. The recommendation came from a colleague of mine in Chambers. Anne had dealt with financial/pension advice for him for a number of years and he suggested her on the very highest recommendation. I contacted Anne and have been phenomenally impressed by her ability to meet my needs in terms of financial/pension advice .

Since my very first contact with Anne through to her recent advice, she has been able to take the stress out of important decisions by her innate ability to give practical and technical advice in an easy going but nevertheless very client focused manner. She has been extremely good at creating a genuine personal relationship with me as a client. She is highly efficient. There are never delays. She creates an atmosphere where I can call upon her to deal with specific and general issues. Put simply, linked to her expertise is a very strong ability to create a personal understanding of any client needs and the ability in all her reports and client meetings to present everything in a digestible format. I was looking for advice in particular on how to manage a large investment portfolio and importantly how to make sure it would grow and be protected as much as possible from IHT so that it could provide for the needs of my two disabled sons for their lifetime.

Anne was a breath of fresh air. She was the first adviser who was able to forecast precisely for the future to ensure that the cost of my sons’ care needs as well as my own will be met. She also engaged a disability specialist solicitor on my behalf to provide legal services regarding wills, trusts and LPAs/ Deputyship for them. He was the first solicitor who said I could have Deputyship for my son who lacks capacity and give them each a third share of our home for IHT relief, which the local solicitors and advisors had told me I couldn't. Anne arranged a pension transfer to bypass IHT as I won’t need the income. The savings that her superb advice and help provides more than outweigh the fees involved.

Exceedingly well. As well as being what I would describe as a “ red hot financial specialist” Anne is a very easy person to talk to and share your concerns with. She is thoughtful and goes outside the box to give holistic support. When planning for your lifetime it is more than just being about investments and taxation.

She also looked at the taxation situation on each investment and significantly helped with an income plan that supplement the state pension and final salary pensions to create an excellent retirement income. We know have a solid pension /draw-down plan for retirement finances. Our income has been arranged in a way that is tax efficient and he issue of maximum pension contribution has been explained and dealt with. There has been thought put into inheritance planning. I have had a variety of advisers over the years - on this occasion I have needed extensive advice relating to a Trust set up by my late sister. In addition she has provided all the other support we require for a regular fee that covers all members of my family.

The outcomes have been fine though the Trust advice will need to continue. Personal circumatances are well covered.

A small thing one might say - but for someone so high powered to have time to make jam - and furthermore to consider making the time to give jam to one of her clients - I thought that pretty amazing! The third time we met were also treated to a meal. Our meetings are also full of laughter. I couldn't ask for more.
