What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

My husband and I are settling down with two young children and our first mortgage. I also run my own business. I was keen to work with a financial advisor to learn the best way to manage my personal and business finances, to prepare for my family's future and for my husband and I to protect our children financially if something were to happen to us.

How has Ella Davies helped you?

Ella is incredibly good at listening to you explain the situation and then taking what you have told her and identifying the key areas where she can assist you. She is very engaged in your personal situation and is good at asking follow up questions and getting to know you, your family and your views for the future in detail. Although Ella is very capable, she is also very good at engaging outside help when she needs deeper knowledge. Ella truly wants to find the best outcomes for you.

I have. Ella has been exceptional at working with me on different topics and engaging outside teams to achieve the outcome I have wanted.

To manage multiple investment and pension pots, as well as inheritance planning.

Ella has helped us get our finances very well organised. Our investments are working efficiently for us and our pension pots are consolidated. We have put in place appropriate protection for unforeseen circumstances and estate planning has been put in place.

Most definitely. Our investments are doing well and everything feels very organised.

We felt that we weren't valued clients of our previous financial advisory firm.

How has Ella Davies helped you?

Ella dealt with the switch from our previous advisers in a very efficient and prompt manner. She met with us several times to review our financial position and goals; ran through the variety of options open to us and then gave us very clear advice as to the investments that best suited our situation. She then implemented the changes to our investments and kept us informed throughout the process. Ella is a great communicator, is very organised and provides an extremely professional and friendly service. She also has a very clear and transparent fee structure.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I wanted advice on my pensions and in particular consolidating them. I also wanted advice on pension and financial planning for the future to help inform my decision on when to retire.

Ella helped consolidate my pensions into one pot and helped me to plan for the future which has crystallised my thinking on when to retire. Ella has provided me with advice which I have every confidence in.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Our original Financial Advisor who had looked after us for about 20 years was retiring. My wife and I thought it was a good time to look at what other advisors and companies could offer. Ella came recommended and from our first meeting she impressed us with her knowledge, experience and the simple and easy to understand way she explained everything to us. We have since been with Ella since 2018 and have never once doubted that we made the right decision.

How has Ella Davies helped you?

Elle initially did a full review of our savings and investments including looking at the market to see which providers offered the not only good returns but lower charges to maximise growth. We have been pleased with the results and we like the way Ella continues to look at the market going forward. There is a saying "don't fix what's not broken" but it is always worth looking at what different providers offer as things do change over time and we like the way Ella continues to look and compare what is available. We have moved our main pension to a different provider twice in the past 8 years and on both occasions felt it was the right thing to do at the right time.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes. We are pleased with the lower charges and the overall growth we have seen.

What could they have done better?

Not a lot. One of the good things about Ella is that although we have an annual meeting to look at performance and overall planning she is always available should we want or need to contact her. She's approachable, easy to talk to, understanding and very good at her job.
