Please provide a brief comment about your experience with Nick

I have only spoken to Nick on the telephone and he seemed to understand my needs. I have ameeting planned wth him for the end of the week.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Initially for advice on pensions following semi-retirement in October 2015 with a view to moving to full retirement later in 2016.

How has Nick Dando helped you?

Nick provide an initial meeting for free which was most useful in helping me decide that Haven IFA would best suit my personal requirements following enquiries to other IFAs in the area. Nick was very helpful in guiding me through the best approach to take with my various pensions and linking this to improving my investments on the side of my savings. I have this month agreed on an investment path to take, appointing Haven as my IFAs to set this up and monitor the future of it.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

As I have only just agreed on the investment recommendations I have not seen any outcome yet but the advise received is planned in conjunction with my pensions to hopefully provide sufficient income for my future full retirement. The outcome of finding a IFA that suits my needs and has provided through Nick clear and straightforward advice especially in helping my understanding of my various pensions has definitely been achieved.

What could they have done better?

At this early stage I cannot think of anything that Nick could have done better. Especially the time provided in the initial meetings before appointment were invaluable in making my decisions.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I had a number of Company Pension Schemes and wanted advice as to the merits of leaving as is or potentially consolidating into one new Pension Fund.

How has Nick Dando helped you?

Nick arranged to meet with both myself and my wife and asked a series of questions that allowed him to better understand both our needs and our attitude to risk going forward. Nick arranged to obtain transfer values on the various funds and then explained the merits of leaving the money alone or moving it to a new consolidated position. Nick also explained the impact of changes in Pension Legislation as announced by the Government and as such how this could impact on our plans.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Having conducted this review we made educated decisions on what to do with the various Pension Pots. This decision was influenced by the balanced advice provided by Nick, who conducted himself in an attentive professional manner.

What could they have done better?

Nothing.

How has Nick Dando helped you?

When I met Nick he took time to question my views of life, goals and attitude to risk. At each subsequent meeting, he factors in the time to check that these are still the same, which has ensured the base for our discussions are specific to my needs. The basis for any advice is carefully explained so that it is transparent and I am informed of various strategies I can chose. He patiently draws my attention to specific points about processes and investments so that I can make informed decisions which reduce worry and ensures I am confident that I am making correct choices. Any recommendations have been supported with robust written plans and images; using language which is appropriate to my understanding of the financial markets. I am informed, in writing, of the charge for his services, so that I can compare this with other providers in the market place. This has enabled me to check and ensure that I have best value for money.

What could they have done better?

I have thought about this point and would like to be able to make a constructive comment. However, due to the professionalism of his service I cannot see a gap for improvement.
