What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I was going through a divorce and had pensions which needed reinvestment

Andrew put my pension into one fund. It made enough money through investment to allow me to retire early and not touch my teachers pension until I was 60 years old

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes I am living very comfortably and am very happy with how my pension has been used to help me retire early .

What could they have done better?

There was a short time where Andrew and I lost touch and my pension investment was not making as much maybe as it could. However after reconnecting with Andrew my pension was put into an Aviva fund where it flourished. I don’t think I lost out that much but maybe the firm could have ensured that we kept in touch more regularly.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Five Years ago I had a major life changing health issue and consulted Andrew on a number of fronts. Not just Financial Planning (Investments already held), but also to consider immediate retirement plans. I not only had a substantial occupational pension, but also a Voluntary redundancy lump sums and some critical insurance due to my circumstances.

How has Andrew Tucker helped you?

Andrew took the time to investigate and discuss a number of short and medium term financial scenarios with me and my wife. As it turns out that was invaluable for me. I am pleased to say that I made a full recovery, and was able to work (and so invest and plan) for a further 4 years. At the start of this year I took the decided to fully retire and I am delighted with the help and support (and of course regular financial reviews undertaken with Andrew during that time). He helped me to plan a guide path and I am now seeing the benefits of his advice.

What could they have done better?

I am a strong believer that improvements can always be made. However in what became very difficult circumstances during the Covid years, I am convinced that Andrew and the team made all sort of flexible and innovative changes to their mode of working in order to continue to provide the best experience for his clients. I have no suggestions for changes that I would have expected over and above what was offered. Andrew is always responsive, helpful, flexible and informed.

We recently undertook a Discovery Meeting with Andrew and enjoyed a friendly conversation to assess our current financial position and what we are hoping for in retirement. We received plenty of insights about our options, challenging at times some misconceptions that we had, and how to best achieve what we're aiming for moving forward.
