absolutely. i continue to work with Adam, i have recommended him to 2 others, one of which is now a client, its just an absolute no brainier, if you sell online, you may think you know all the answers, but spend a hour with Adam and realize you know nothing. all that really matters is you are 100% straight with the HMRC and Adam will NOT waver when it comes to that like some other accountants may, if you are filling bad returns you may as well not file them at all!.

What could they have done better?

0, Nothing, there is literally nothing Adam could have done better for me. and on a personal note one of the nicest people i have met, there are so many frauds, cheats and liars when you sell online, its nice to have solid reliable person involved in your business, he has put up with me droning on about this and that for hours on end, every single concern i ever had has been explained and dealt with, if you are in a position where you have any concerns just give them a call, its free and without obligation, he could not be less pushy, just all round a excellent experience, a lovely guy, an asset to our business, professional to a tee, available any time, i don't really do reviews, but feel obliged in this instance. i am more than happy to act as a reference and share the specifics of how Adam helped me with anyone who may need to hear it from another small business owner before commencing.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I was responsible for a business that was in a declining and challenging industry and needed some financial input to help me control costs and plan for an exit from the business. I was also concerned about the tax implications of a potential sale and again needed advice on this.

How has Adam Carter helped you?

Adam helped me to implement financial procedures and controls including producing financial forecasts and management information packs to add professionalism to the business and assist the sale process - these improvements were viewed very favourably by my team, bank manager and potential purchasers. Adam also advised me on the tax cost of selling the business, in a very straight forward way and in such a way that made me feel confident with his answers and advice.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

The business way successfully sold during 2015, during the process Adam was really supportive (I was calling him almost everyday and he never complained!!!) and he acted as a great intermediary between my bankers and solicitors. Adam also identified that there had been previously unclaimed capital allowances (which he helped me to go on to claim). I'll now use Adam personally for a long time going forward personally or new business ventures.

What could they have done better?

Adam was everything to us that we could have hoped for and more. Certainly going above and beyond my expectations.

We are a small family business growing and entering different sectors within our industry. We needed more financial expertise which Adam has provided immensely.

Adam has provided advice on financing larger schemes we are involved with, provided weekly management information reports, taken care of submitting all of the required standard financial reports to HMRC e.g corporation tax, VAT.

As the financial controller of a fairly mature operating business, I was looking for financial and commercial support to further grow and streamline the business.

Adam & FD Analytical offered a fresh perspective on the business, providing really thought provoking management information and KPI's - these enabled us to better understand the business and target growth in the most profitable areas, whilst reducing costs by almost 10%.

Yes, within a really short period of time, Adam & FD Analytical were like an extension to our team - "on our side" as well as supporting the business objectives Adam helped provide a huge amount of credibility and support during meetings with our bankers, business partners and HMRC.

I feel that my eyes were really opened during this process in terms what financial discipline and clarity can do for my business, I am sure that we will continue to work well into the future and have a long term business relationship.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

We were seeking some higher level strategic financial advice over and above what we could source from our existing Accountants (Auditors). On the one hand we were expanding our business and undertaking some of the biggest contracts we had ever done, and on the other we were shrinking another division, and looking to move premises at the same time. In addition, we were looking to develop our on-line division also and Adam was extremely knowledgeable in this area.

How has Adam Carter helped you?

Adam made an immediate impact, and made us realize very quickly the difference between having a basic accounting function as opposed to true FD level input. He came up with several very good ideas that have helped us save money, and more importantly his advice has stopped us making a serious strategic mistake where we had simply assessed an opportunity incorrectly before his involvement due to lack of proper financial guidance.

Absolutely - we are looking to expand our relationship with Adam and hope to use him a lot more in the future.

We needed a modern day accountant to fill the needs of our modern day fast paced eCommerce business traditional accountants are used to pen and paper meetings in an office, its surprising how many cannot yet handle the modern day eCommerce business.

How has Adam Carter helped you?

Adam was able to instantly understand our business the way it works and the software required to quickly and efficiently do our accounts accurately with modern day software and technology. we were able to talk via email and telephone and link our accounts with adam all online, all much faster and much more efficient than traditional accounting methods.

We got just the outcome required fast on time and with great presentation.

As yet there are no faults i could mention this has been a top level service.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

I needed help with starting up and running my business. I was unsure about self assessment and tax returns.

My business is currently up and running and making a profit. Adams help and professionalism has definitely helped me to avoid a lot of the pitfalls that I would have fell in to.

Apart from not supporting Everton (!), there is nothing more he could do. The proof of the pudding is that I have recommended him to friends of mine and they have recommended Adam further!

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an accountant?

Eight years ago I started selling handmade cards and wedding stationery via eBay to help fund my hobby, Within 18 months my hobby became a small business and as my sales on eBay began to increase I quickly realised that I needed to find an accountant to make sure my tax affairs would remain in good order I searched for an accountant via the internet and found Adam Carter who had experience of eBay sellers and understood how eBay worked.

Adam sorted my tax out and took all the worry away from me. He included all my sales from the beginning of my selling on eBay which did worry me at the time but he assured me that this was the best course of action and I was so pleased when my accounts were all completed and my affairs up to date. Adam explained everything in the simplest way possible (as I had always been on PAYE as an employee and had no knowledge how being a sole trader worked) some of my questions must have seemed naive to Adam but he always made me feel at ease and explained everything and nothing was ever too much trouble for him.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Adam has been my accountant for the last 8 years and in that time I have gone from sole trader to employer with the advice and help from Adam. I moved home last year and have had a new workroom built at the end of the garden and my business is still growing. Adam helped me to achieve this by completing my yearly accounts early and he also produced a forecast for the following year in order to help me obtain my new mortgage.

What could they have done better?

I have pondered over this question but can honestly answer "Nothing" If I email Adam I receive an answer within 24 hours If I have a question it is always answered If I ask for help I always receive it What more could I ask for?
